Dr. med. Antje Bostedt-Kiesel studied human medicine at the Justus Liebig University Giessen and the Ruprecht-Karls University Heidelberg. Afterwards she worked for three years at the Medical Clinic of the Ruprecht-Karls University (Department of Endocrinology and Diabetology). Her particular interest was in the research and treatment of diabetic secondary complications and pancreas-kidney transplantation.
Since 1994 she has got to know the German health system from different sides. After setting up the Academy for Further Education and Training of the South Württemberg District Medical Association, she worked as a freelancer for the Dean’s Office of the Medical Faculty of the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster and for the Cancer Centre Münster. After a stopover at the representation of doctors‘ interests in Westfalen – Lippe (Kassenärztliche Vereinigung / Pharmakotherapie- Beratung und Verordnungsmangement) she joined the IKK classic in 2010. Her main field is the development of key figures and in recent years for identifying high cost cases and cost drivers.
