„Connected Health in Coworking Environments“
Proposed by

Background
World of work 4.0, New Work, Coworking Spaces – Working in the 21st century has become increasingly flexible, mobile and decentralized through digital technologies. Teams work together regardless of location and time. This brings opportunities for productivity, creativity and for a self-determined combination of life and work. However, the full potential of all methods to work healthier, more efficiently and happier has not yet been exhausted.
Problem
Coworking and open spaces are two hot topics in the current world of work: an attractive model for companies, startups and freelancers. But this also means that many people use shared infrastructure and work closely together on different projects. Neighbors turn into sports attendants, creative people work with technicians, impulsive characters meet introverts, the line between privacy and work becomes increasingly blurred. How can health, productivity and satisfaction be ensured in a long-term and sustainable manner in cooperative work environments?
Actual Challenge
Using home automation technologies and up-to-date tools for measuring and networking health data (e.g. fitness tracker, app visualization), an intelligent solution should be found to positively influence the health of coworkers in coworking spaces and health-relevant influencing factors (e.g. fresh air, temperature, daylight, fluid intake).
